REVIEWS:The Vegas Lounge is a little known gem on your way from downtown into NE. 5 tap beers range from domestics to Redhook, but the real draw is the nightly Kareoke (all but Monday & Wed). The range of skills and the confidence that patrons express during these nights is both amazing and shocking.Mostly a local nieghborhood spot, the Vegas offers a long stretch of happy hours, billiards, and pull tabs. Its popular for watching the games (especially Vikings and Nascar; ie. new drink specials for these), having TV's arranged for all to get a good view.Food is standard bar fare: Pizzas, sandwiches, and chili. The interior is open and dim lit, with hightop tables around the large central bar. They also have a large fenced in patio.CITIe Pages Review:If you were to guess the vibe of the Vegas Lounge based solely on the name, you might expect to find a bar with a retro "Rat Pack" style. But you would be wrong. This is not what you will actually find at the Vegas Lounge in Northeast, though, oddly enough, one night I did see a dead ringer for Fat Elvis singing a cover of Clearance Carter's "Strokin'." So maybe there is something to the name. Overall, the Vegas Lounge is an unpretentious bar with a VFW feel to it. Order up something with hard liquor, or a Miller Lite, but stay away from fancy beers at all costs, and you should have a good time. The bar is decent-sized, with a nice outdoor seating area populated by smokers and those who don't mind the cold weather. Karaoke, which runs from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesdays, and Thursdays through Sundays, is low-key and low-pressure. The mix at the bar is very eclectic; on any given night you may run into a wedding party, a toothless drunk who's been drinking since noon, and a group of recent French immigrants. This was our first time at Vegas Lounge. It was a riot. Arrived at 8:00 Friday evening for the 2 for 1 happy hour. Decent drinks for $3. Karaoke book was as large as I've ever scene, can't imagine anything missing. Fun and friendly crowd, down-to-earth staff, just a great time all around.I wanted a place I could get Blitzkrieg-drunk, Sing some Zeppelin, meet Friendly people that wont judge slightly boistrous drunks, and at the end of the night my roommates and I could stumble home... Enter the Vegas Lounge. My new favorite guilty obsession.Country Life

Enter the Vegas Lounge. My new favorite guilty obsession.The Vegas Lounge is a dive. The Vegas Lounge is tacky. The Vegas Lounge has a really eclectic group of customers who would never hang out together normally. I LOVE the Vegas Lounge. I was invited to an after work happy hour to celebrate a birthday...on a Wednesday night. Walking into the bar I felt out of place. Tie. Suit pants. Button up shirt. I quickly realized, however, no one cared. Wednesday night is non-stop fun. Immediately I was able to partake in pull-tabs, followed by a meat raffle, followed very closely by 13 games of bingo for cash followed by super fun karaoke during which you also play a form of bingo. The karaoke guy was also really great. The staff is exceptionally friendly and provide excellent customer service. The food is really great and the drinks are good and cheap. If you just want to hang out at a place full of friendly people and good times I highly recommend hanging out here. Lose the shirt and tie, though. Not that anyone cares but with all that goes on you want to feel more comfortable than work clothes provide. Enjoy.I love this place. Any place you can puke in the corner and no one cares is fine with me. There is great people watching as well. I got so damn drunk but no strippers.The nightly 2 4 ones are awesome!!! The only downer is their menu. The staff and the owners are FANTASTIC!!!!Great bar in NE. It's very blue collar during the day (two for ones at 8am for the third shifters!) but more of a mixed crowd of college kids and regulars at night. Great staff once you get to know them after a few visits - they will remember you! Karaoke 4 nights a week, bingo a couple nights a week, meat raffle, pull tabs, all that good stuff. Serve Heggies Pizza and other types of good bar food like grilled cheese and chili - different stuff all the time, check the whiteboard. Also there are seasonal specials like they just got done doing rib nights on Tuesdays. There's a nice patio for the smokers if that's your style. Parking lot has security cameras so your car will be safe overnight if you're a little tipsy, and they're always willing to call you cab. They have customer of the day, customer of the week, customer of the night drawings regularly - it's so fun when you win, even if it's just a free drink. Only complaint is there isn't that much for specials, except 2 for 1s at 8am, noon , and 8pm. It feels like a bar out in rural MN or WI until they charge $9 for a pitcher of Old Style. Other than that - highly recommended for a fun night or a stop on your NE bar crawl. Say hi to Jake and Suzy and Frankie and Kurt and Jerri! RIP Loretta. Come back Shelley (super hot) but at least your sister still works there!If you love karaoke then this place is for you. Pretty complete book of songs. A great mix of people. People sing along and dance to whatever people are singing. Drinks are 2-4-1's from 8-9PM. Eat before you go because the food isn't so good. The staff is amazingly nice. So nice. This is just a great Nordeast bar that makes you feel at home. There are pull tabs too. Who can beat that? In the summer there's a nice big deck that you can drink and smoke on and still hear the music.Oh the VEGAS!! Definitely one of my top karaoke spots, this bar also boasts incredibly cheap and strong drinks, pull tabs AND a meat raffle...in addition to having karaoke all the time!!
